Warren E. Cole, 83, of Sullivan, passed away on Tuesday June 5, 2018 at Miller’s Merry Manor. He was born in Sullivan County on February 22, 1935 to Frank Cole and Clona (Mason) Cole. Warren was a lifelong farmer, owned Cole Irrigation for 23 years, and was a Southwest Sullivan school bus driver for 10 years. He was a 1953 graduate of Merom High School. Warren was a pilot and flew for business, and leisure with his grandchildren. He enjoyed collecting and restoring antique farm machinery and taking them to shows with his family. Preceding him in death are his parents, brothers George and Bill, and a sister Mary Haithcock.
Survivors include his wife Sheryl (McKinley) Cole of 63 years whom he married on September 18, 1954, a son Ronnie Cole of Sullivan, brothers John Cole, Harvey (Linda) Cole, both of Martinsville, IN, and sisters, Jane Atherton of FL, Arlene (Jim) Boes of Sullivan, grandchildren Jessica (Ray) Dickerson of Merom and James Cole of Sullivan, and several nieces, nephews and other family.
Services for Warren will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday June 13, 2018 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Erich Blevins officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4-8:00p.m. Burial will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery.
