Gerald Pullum, 92, of Hymera passed away on December 5, 2017 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. He was born on July 5, 1925 in Hymera to Esten Pullum and Zelma (Terry) Pullum. Gerald was a 1943 graduate of Hymera High school, an Army veteran of WWII, a recipient of the Purple Heart, the Oak Leaf Cluster and a POW. He was a member of the Hymera Masonic Lodge #588 and the Ruritan Club. Preceding him in death are his parents, his wife Kathleen Pullum, a brother Doyne Pullum, a sister June Lollar, and a grandchild Kyle Pullum
Survivors include his daughters Debra (Bill) Hudson, Nancy (David) Larr, son Carrol (Nancy) Pullum, a brother Delbert Pullum, sisters Janice Williams, Wanda (Wayne) Jones, four grandchildren, several great grandchildren and a special friend Wanda Kilzer.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday December 8, 2017 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev. Norman Santus officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be at Knights of Pythius Cemetery. The Family suggest that if friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Indianapolis Honor Flight. Envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.
